RISD would like to send a DRAGON SHOUT OUT to our Music Educators who love music, love teaching music to others and who play a pivotal role in preparing students for bright futures.
Music education provides students with a well-rounded education. RISD appreciates our Band Directors for their role as teachers and mentors and for all the many ways they inspire and enhance students' musical experiences. Band Directors do more than just assemble the school band and create music. They make sure that the students selected for the school band can all synchronize with each other, monitor their performances, and oversee rehearsals.
TODAY - MONDAY, MAY 13 - is an opportunity to "THANK" our Band Directors and recognize their hard work and promotion of band performances.
Music does make learning fun, and school events just wouldn't be the same without the school band providing some awesome background music.
