The Golden Dragons participated in an exclusive Creative Canvas Night, a fun and relaxing event hosted by the Redwater High School art ambassadors. These students led the Golden Dragons through a painting with art materials provided. Imagine Painting with a Twist: Dragon Kingdom edition. Our Golden Dragons learned more about our art department, painting techniques, and the Visual Art Scholastic Competition these students recently participated in.

Join us for House Games, a fun-filled event packed with games, friendly competition, and outdoor activities! You can either jump in to play games with our students and staff, or you can be a spectator.

Golden Dragons Celebrate STEAM at RIS

We loved welcoming our Golden Dragons to Redwater Intermediate School for a special day of learning and connection at the STEAM Expo! Members served as guest judges for student science projects, selecting their “Golden Picks” and spending time connecting with students to learn more about the creativity, research, and hard work behind each project.

After judging, our Golden Dragons stayed to enjoy a fun, interactive campus experience, including a special House Sorting event in the gym—where they were officially “sorted” into one of the RIS student Houses and warmly welcomed by students from each House.

The Golden Dragons participated in the Veterans Day Program and contributed to the second annual 10,000 for the Troops initiative by making cards for veterans alongside students from each campus. They created 54 additional cards, bringing the Redwater ISD total to 1,254. Following the activity, students led tours of the junior high and elementary schools.

The Golden Dragons heard presentations from Redwater Junior High and High School student leaders representing various clubs/organizations. They also received information about Redwater ISD's Mission & Vision and a Golden Dragons program overview from Dr. Kelly Burns, Superintendent of Schools.
